Excursions from Costa Adeje

Costa Adeje appears on the pickup lists of most of the south-coast tours we checked, and Puerto Colón harbour is inside the resort. Here are the tours that collect from here and the boats nearby.

Most of the coach excursions we checked in the south list Costa Adeje among their pickup areas, from the hotel door or a nearby stop. The exact stop and time are often sent after booking, so check the pickup row of each card below.

For boat and whale-watching trips you often need no transport: Puerto Colón is home to more authorised whale-watching boats than any other harbour in Tenerife. Compare them on the whale-watching page.

For Mount Teide, see Teide tours and stargazing tours for the options and what each includes.

Things to do in Costa Adeje: the excursions

At sea, from the resort itself. Puerto Colón has more authorised whale-watching boats than any other harbour in Tenerife: small fast boats with marine biologists, sailing boats and large catamarans with a swim stop. See whale watching and boat trips.

Up the volcano. Day tours to Teide, with or without the cable car, and sunset and stargazing evenings in the national park. Several of the ones we checked collect from Costa Adeje: compare them on Teide tours and stargazing tours.

Another island. La Gomera is a day trip by ferry from Los Cristianos, a short ride away. Our records do not yet confirm a Costa Adeje pickup for the organised trips, so check each card on the La Gomera page.

Questions people ask

Is there lots to do in Costa Adeje?

For excursions, yes. Puerto Colón harbour is inside the resort for boat and whale-watching trips, and several of the Teide and stargazing tours we checked list Costa Adeje among their pickup areas. Our La Gomera records do not yet confirm a Costa Adeje pickup, so check the pickup row of each card.

Do I need a car for excursions from Costa Adeje?

Usually not. Most organised excursions in the south collect from Costa Adeje, and the main harbour for boat trips, Puerto Colón, is within the resort.

Where exactly will I be picked up?

It depends on the operator: some collect from the hotel door, others from a nearby stop. Many send the exact point and time after booking. Each card says which, when the operator publishes it.

Which boat trips leave from Puerto Colón?

Large catamarans, sailing boats and small fast boats all use Puerto Colón. The whale-watching and boat-trip pages compare them, including whether the boat is on the official register.

Can I go to La Gomera from Costa Adeje?

Yes. La Gomera day trips cross by ferry from Los Cristianos, a short ride away by taxi or bus. Our records do not explicitly confirm a Costa Adeje pickup for the organised trips, so check the collection point with the operator before booking.

Are the guides English-speaking?

Most of the tours we checked list English, but some coaches mix several languages. The guide row of each card shows the format the operator states.
